Again - Like Father Like Son

Ok so we are just sitting on the sunporch (shocking) after dinner watching TV. I am officially outnumbered when it comes to what we want to watch. I look over and Jackson and Drew are totally wrapped up in the hunting show that they were watching. This is nothing new for Drew, but Jackson - already??

Like Father Like Son

It is official Drew loves to play X-Box and Jackson loves to watch it. He has been dowstairs just cooing up a storm. He also loved watching Patrick play his Play Station at the beach. We had a great time at the beach and look forward to going back. Jackson loved watching his cousins and they are so good with him. No pictures from the trip because I accidently left the camera in Drew's car - oops! Jackson is 11 weeks old today and countinues to amaze me. We know that he has the ability to sleep through the night - I guess it just depends on his mood! I can't complain because he is really doing well with his sleeping, but I do treasure those nights he decides to sleep! He is on the verge of laughing out loud and I can't wait - because I know it is going to be hysterical. We will keep you posted!

Big Weekend

We had a big weekend this past weekend. First we made our first trip to Greenville for Gram's birthday on Friday night. We had a great time seeing her and actually slept until 5:00am! We also got to meet Annie, Catherine and Alan Gross's daughter who is only 3 weeks older then Jackson. For some reason I can't get the pictures to post that Cat sent me of the two. I will keep trying. She is such a doll baby. Jackson is surrounded by pretty girls. On Saturday we were off on our first trip to the lake. Everyone was out there - Mimi, Aunt Alli, Uncle Paul all of the cousins, plus Aunt Shannon, Uncle Jay, and Uncle Mark. We had a good time under the gazebo with the breeze and the cousins. I even got to go on a boat ride for an hour or so. He slept until 5:30am! Then we headed back out on Sunday and had another fun day at the lake and went to Hunter and Amanda Suggs for dinner - he slept until 6:30! Back to the lake on Monday - Hunter, Brie, and Addie Coffer joined us - another fun day under the gazebo - he slept until 7:15! What a big boy. I guess I am just going to have to take him to the lake everyday. I can't wait until next summer when he is older and will actually be able to play with all of his cousins - even Dusty! Only two weeks until we find out what Jay and Shannon are having - we can't wait. It is hard to believe that he is 10 weeks old today. He is changing so much every day I love it. We are headed to Litchfield tomorrow with Mimi and the Aitchison clan, we should have some cute pictures when we get back.

The Beach!

This past weekend Hunter and Brie Coffer invited us down to Sea Brook Island. We had a blast. It was great to get out of the house for a change. They have a 4 week old daughter named Addie. It was nice being around people who are in the exact same boat as far as having a young baby who you feel like is constantly eating! We actually made it to the beach one day for about an hour. It took about two hours to get everything together that we needed to take like the tent. The babies slept pretty much the whole time in their strollers with the tops shut tight. After the wind started to pick up we headed to the pool for some adult beverages! Thanks Brie, Hunter, and Addie for inviting us!
We went to the doctor today and got 4 shots! Needless to say Jackson was shocked that someone would hurt him. We both cried for a minute - thank goodness Drew was there to stay sane! He was 12 lb 11 oz and 24 1/2 inches long - a growing boy!

7 Weeks!

It is hard to believe that Jackson is 7 weeks old this week. A lot has happened. I have officially retired, for now. My sweet co-workers at WIS actually had a breakfast for Jackson and I this morning. I am really going to miss everyone, but I know I am doing what is right for us. He was such a good boy, smiling and flirting with all of the ladies! (Kind of scary about what is to come in the future). He has really started to develop a little personality. We had our first out of town trip to Charleston for Kari's wedding. It was so much fun. Mimi kept Jackson Friday night so Drew and I could have some fun at the rehearsal dinner - which we did! Saturday we took him to the reception and he was an angel. I must say traveling is a lot more stressful then I thought it would be. He was way out of sorts by Sunday! He is back to normal now. Here is a precious picture of him in his pack and play while we were at the beach! (He looks just like Drew)

Daddy Time!

Jackson loves Daddy time! Drew could not resist putting him on the boat and getting a picture. It is scary at times how much they look alike! He really loves being outside just like Drew. We took him to the lake and swang on the porch while Daddy did yard work. I can't wait for Jackson to be old enough to play with his cousins out there!
