Merry Christmas!

We hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas because we sure did! Our celebrating started when we got to Greenville on the 23rd. We got together with Drew's family and Jackson got some great toys and enjoyed seeing his Gram,Granny and Poppa. Back to Columbia on the 24th where we celebtated my birthday and Christmas with my family at the Aitchison's. Santa came and brought some great gifts for Jackson. We are having a lot of fun going through and playing with everything today. We went to Nan and Gandy's last night for dinner and then came home to have some birthday fun. Jackson's two top teeth are really giving us a time - they have started to break through and Jackson is not too happy about it. We had such a great first Christmas with Jackson and look forward to the New Year!

9 Month Check-Up

Jackson had his 9 month check up today. He has to think that he is having the worst day ever! First he woke up at 5:00am with the lingering cold that I feel like is never going to go away. Then he decided that he was not going to take his morning nap before the doctor. Then we hit the doctor, his two top front teeth are getting ready to cut, so that is really not helping his cold situation. Next he got a prick on his heel to test his iron and then two shots. He is not used to getting hurt so he really thinks this is the worst day ever. He was 18lb 10 oz and a little over 29 inches long. He is our tiny boy in the 20th percentile for weight and 75% for height. He obviously gets his height from his mommy! Thank goodness he passed out for his afternoon nap. We are scheduled to go to Greenville tomorrow to stay with Gram, but we will monitor our health situation tomorrow because I REFUSE to be the reason why little Tanner gets sick for the first time between Jackson and I. Here is a picture Leslie took yesterday. You can see he has little watery eyes!

William Arthur Milliken

A big congratulations to Walks and Caroline Milliken on the birth of their son William Arthur Milliken yesterday. He was 7lbs 2oz and 19 inches long. He looks precious. Mommy, Daddy, and Baby are doing great. Jackson can't wait to meet his new friend!

Happy Belated Birthday Big Daddy!

Happy belated Birthday to Big Daddy. We went out to Blythwood last night to celebrate with hotdogs and brats. We had a great time. Jackson loves being around all of his cousins. We call them the "loud people"! We love our stand up toys that Leslie brought over - thanks Lolly. He is getting to be such a ham.

Da Da - DaDaDaDa

I know it has been a while since I last posted - we have been busy! Jackson loves the word Da Da. I can not tell you how many times I hear it a day. Drew calls sometimes just to listen. He is still low boy crawling on his belly - but he gets around pretty well. The teeth are for sure present at this time and razor sharp. We go for our 9 month well check up on the 21st. I can not believe that my little baby is going to be 9 months old. We have been visiting Morgan on a daily basis and she is doing great. Her last bone marrow test showed a zero! We were so excited. Here are a few pictures from the Carolina/Clemson game at our house. As usual Jackson and Addie like to play and little Tanner slept in the bouncy. The other pictures are of when I got Jackson up from his nap today. All I heard was a very long song about Da Da when he woke up - too sweet.

Happy Thanksgiving - a little late!

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We went to my sister Allison's and had Thanksgiving with Mom, Alli, Paul, Patrick, Morgan and Michael. It was very yummy. Jackson was taking his afternoon nap while we were eating which happened to work out perfectly. Morgan fed him his lunch and he loved it. I must say it was a little messier then he is used to. There is so much to be thankful for this year. Morgan is doing great and her little personality is starting to perk right back up. Her labs are looking great, so good in fact she can go out in public to a movie if she wanted to!

A lot has been going on with Jackson. Over the past week or so we have gotten two teeth and started to crawl on his belly to wherever he wants to go. Also Leslie brought him over Will's old Jeep Walker and he loves it. He hasn't quite figured out how to go forward yet, but he seems pleased with going in reverse. I guess it is easier to push then pull. He loves to suck on frozen fruit that I put in these little mesh popsicle looking things - kind of messy though. He is really proud of himself when he scoots to the toy he has in his sights. He is now offically growing up way too fast. I am lucky that I have baby Tanner to hold for my little baby fix. Here are a few pictures of our little man!

Very Cold!

Drew,Jackson, and I participated in the Shandon Turkey Trot walk/run this morning to benefit St. Judes Hospital. Drew ran the 5.2 miles and Jackson and I walked the 2.2 miles. We had a great time but it was a little chilly. Jackson was all bundled up and pretty much could not move. I felt like an abusive mother but the only skin that was showing was his little face and he basically "papped" the whole time and did not make a peep! Way to go Daddy on finishing the 5.2 miles in 40 minutes.
Also Happy 30th Birthday Alli Grich! We can't wait to celebrate with you!

We got all bundled up for our stroller ride yesterday and Jackson was not really sure. I thought he looked precious. His jacket is still a little big but it works because it keeps his little wet hands warm.

Thank You!

Thank You so much for all of your phone calls and prayers. Morgan came home from the hospital of Saturday and is doing good. She heads back to the clinic tomorrow for more treatments so keep the prayers coming! We try to get over there once a day for what we call "Baby Therapy". She really perks up when Jackson comes to visit. We also want to wish Granny a belated Happy Birthday - this past week has really thrown us off - Sorry! I think a combination of the time change and teeth have gotten us a little off schedule but we are working to get back on. We will keep you posted on Morgan!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Happy Halloween! We are going to be a puppy dog named Scruffy and Jackson is not really sure about the costume. We can't wait to go Trick or Treating with Addie this afternoon. I went Trick or Treating with Morgan at the hospital this morning and she had a great time! So far so good with everything I will keep you posted.

Prayer Request

My sweet niece Morgan was diagnosed with Leukemia yesterday. She was diagnosed with ALL which is Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and was admitted to the Children's Hospital at Richland yesterday morning. She has great doctors and nurses who are going to take really good care of her. We begin chemotherapy tomorrow so please keep Morgan, Allison, Paul, Patrick and Michael in your prayers.

Slack Mommy

I have been a slack blogger Mommy recently. Drew had the camera while he was in Canada then once he got back the batteries were dead. Finally new batteries and some new pictures of Jackson. He is doing great - I can't beleive that he is almost 7 months old. He is starting to scoot on his tummy now and that makes me a nervous wreck. I hear once they "get it" there is no turning back. Jackson loves his 4:00pm walks with Addie, Will, and sometimes Emory Anne. He has started getting fussy right around 4:00pm because he knows it is almost stroller time. We have started the coutdown for Tanner. We are so excited and can't wait to meet little T-Bug! ( we at least want to wait until after Ashley's wedding on Friday). Other then that no new news, he is just such a sweet baby boy who is growing up way to quickly!

Sunday, October 7, 2007

Thanks Leslie for taking pictures of us at the pumpkin patch today! We had so much fun. Daddy is still in Canada and we miss him very much - he will be home on Tuesday.

Our Little Cowboy

We were just playing in his room this morning and I got this cute picture. He has been doing really well with his sleeping since we have started to let him cry. He was waking up around 5-5:30am and our doctor told us to let him cry and it really only took 4 days of a few minutes of crying and he puts himself back down. We are so proud. Daddy leaves tomorrow for Canada for 5 days, we will miss him very much and hope that he has a successful hunt!

6 Months Old!

It is hard to believe that Jackson was 6 months old on the 20th. We are having so much fun with his little personality. We head to the doctor on Wednesday so I will have all of his stats to report then. We had our first bath in the big boy tub last night. He seemed to like it but was not 100% sure about it either. He is finally getting over the cold that we have both had since last Monday. We aren't waking up every other hour anymore thank goodness. It is just so sad that he can't breath b/c of his stuffy nose. Here is a picture of our bath and a picture Jay took while he was hanging with Daddy and Jay yesterday. I think that I also changed the comments so that anyone can leave one and you don't have to be a google member anymore - we shall see!

Big Boy

Jackson loves to sit up now that he has figured out how to do it. He loves to sit and play with all of his toys. We still put boppy behind him when he is going to sit for extended periods of time b/c if he looks up too quickly he goes timber!

Edisto Beach

We just got back from Edisto. We went down with two of my best friends from college Allison and Catherine and thier families. We each had babies within two weeks of eachother and this was the first time that we have all gotten together since. We had a great time. The babies were so cute together. Jackson decided that it was time for him to start sitting up like Annie and McKinley since they were 3 weeks older. We just sat them on a blanket and they just played and played. It was too cute. Here is a picture we tried to take of all three of them and a picture of the babies with thier mommies. Thanks Allie and Kin for inviting us we had a great time!

Big Boy

So far so good with the juice. He does not like the sippy cup but will drink the apple juice in a bottle. This is good because it gives us more practice with the bottle. He really likes to feed himself and only needs a little bit of help. He started rolling from his tummy to his back today - it is really funny because until he rolls he is kind of struggling. He is also getting a lot better at sitting up which will be nice. I swear time is really flying.

Happy Birthday Elisa!

Happy 30th Birthday Elisa! Enjoy your Mexican Fiesta tonight and we can't wait to celebrate with you next week!

Big Day!

We had to take a little trip to the doctor this morning because Jackson does not feel like he needs to poop EVER! The doctor said this was very normal but we should go ahead and start drinking some juice every day with a sippie cup to try and regulate things. I could not believe that it was time for my baby boy to drink juice with a sippie cup. At first it was shocking to him, but he is getting better at it. We also decided to break out the highchair for feedings b/c he is really doing well with his sitting up. He looks so little in the highchair, but it serves its purpose.

Go Tigers!

I have been not been a very good blogger recently but we really have been busy. Also the camera was out of batteries and I kept on fogetting to get some at the store. Oops! Jackson has been doing great, he is such a funny little guy. We now have orgaized morning and afternoon naps and he has moved his bedtime to around 7-7:30pm. He will sleep until around 6-6:30 when I will feed him and he will go back to sleep. Last night I guess he was a little excited about the football game because he kept waking up. Finally around 10:30 we brought him into the den to watch some of the game and get it out of his system. No other big news, he is just getting so big.

Happy Birthday Winky!

Here are a few picutes that we had taken a couple of weeks ago and I just got the CD back.

Baptism

Jackson was baptised today and everything went great! He was such a good boy in church and loved looking at the minister. By the end of the service he was worn out and had to take a little nap on Mommy. After church we went to MiMi's house for lunch and everything was delicious! What a very special day for our little man.

We Are Home!

Finally after a week we are home. We have been staying with my mom since we did not have any air. I am happy to report that we now have a new air conditioning unit and duct work and our house is finally cool! Here are a few pictures of Jackson that I took yesterday - he is really working hard on sitting up. What a big boy!

Sunday, August 5, 2007

Thanks to Hunter and Brie for introducing us to our new toy! I almost forgot that we had it. Jackson thinks he is a really big boy b/c he can stand up in it and Mommy loves it because it is another station to rotate to during the day.
