Lilypie 2nd Birthday Ticker

Saturday, March 31, 2007

For those of you that don't know, today is the opening day of Turkey season. (yes somehow I know this). We surprised Daddy by wearing our camoflauge gown when he got home from hunting. We had some booties and a camo hat to go along with it, but Jackson was not really feeling those. Here are some pictures of my boys and Donald!

Happy Birthday Michael!

Happy 2nd Birthday Cousin Michael. Jackson has had so much fun getting to know his cousins- he even managed to sleep a little during all of the chaos! He keeps changing every day and is still such a sweet baby. We have a birthday picture of Michael and some pictures that Leslie took when she came over the other day - Thanks Leslie we love them!

It is hard to believe that Jackson is a week old today! Happy Birthday! We are home and enjoying our sweet baby. So far so good - I knock on wood every time that I say that because I know one of these days he is going to wake up. We had a little scare on Saturday because he had lost so much weight but we are back up to 7lb 11oz and doing great. It is almost as if I can't remember what life was like without him, but if I try really hard I can remember the waiting and the contractions! One thing that I know for sure is that Drew loves his little boy and Jackson is just as in awe of him. Now that we are home and getting into a semi routine I will try to post more often. Here are a few pictures!

What Due Date?

The due date has come and gone! I am really starting to think that Jackson might have a hard little head like his Daddy! We just got back from the Doctor and the good news is that they are going to induce me tomorrow morning at 6:00am, so we should have a baby by tomorrow night! Panic has officially set in. We will keep everyone posted and hopefully next entry we will have some pictures of the little man!

Still Waiting!

Apparently I have provided a very comfortable home for Mr. Jackson because he is not showing any signs of wanting to leave! We head back to the doctor on Monday and have been told that if we do not have a baby by then we will go ahead and schedule something. I am pretty convinced that due to all of the false labor that I have been experiencing I will probably end up having this baby at home because I will not believe that the labor is real! Drew says he is not really into that! We have now just started counting down to the next doctors appt. - not the due date!

One Week to Go!

Well it is official I am done going out in public. Drew and I went to Lizard's Thicket for breakfast this morning and people were looking at me like I was sporting three heads. Our waitress asked the normal question - "When are you due?" Apparently my "status" made it back to the kitchen because we got our food rather quick and when we were paying our check a man came from the back and said that he heard I was getting ready to blow. Drew and I took that as the offical sign that people are not comfortable with how pregnant I am at this time and it is best if I just stay at home or hide out in other peoples houses! I go back to the doctor on Tuesday and he said that if I am still pregnant then, which I will be, he will try to get a measurement on how big the baby is. I am thinking about not leaving the office until I get the answer that I want - which is what time shall I come in for my induction?

Anxiously Awaiting!!

The final countdown has begun - 11 days until the due date. I would be fine with him coming a few days early, although I will not be holding my breath for that one! I must say that I am over being pregnant and I think that Drew is done with looking at my big old feet and ankles. He has been very helpful in modifying some of my trouser socks so there is still some form of circulation. I have told Drew several times that Jackson and I are now in a battle for survival of the fittest and he is definatly winning. Thanks Leslie for helping me install the car seat and get the blog up and running! I plan to update often. We will keep everyone posted on Jackson's arrival, hopefully it will be sooner rather then later!
